Healing and Empowerment Series![]() Part 2: Religion: Religion is good for the salvation of our souls but misunderstood religion can become a York on our necks. Many religions believe that women should be subservient or submissive with a quote from the Bible (Ephesians 5:22) and with that they become a muzzled ox (1 Corinthians 14:34), with no voice what so ever. The half-baked understanding and application of these scriptures, forgetting to complete the sentence and read the context has had so many negative implications for the female gender. It is with disregard to the fact that Jesus had women following him freely during his time and he protected (e.g. Mary Magdalene) and elevated them. In order to become endeared to and identified with their religion, good women are prayerful women period. So instead of spending time thinking about what they want in a relationship which is wasted intention units they should just pray about it. This disregards the requirement of active faith. Speaking out is considered taboo and can result in ex-communication. Unfortunately, these religious beliefs are picked up and applied willy -nilly by even the non-believers to serve their interests. In the end it sounds as if God himself appeared and proclaimed the rules, yet it was merely another human being, a man for that matter who proclaimed it. Jesus himself did not leave a law but actually came to fulfil the law and leave a new era of freedom rooted in love. So much contradiction!! Thus, a lot of bottled emotion is found pouring out in women when they let out their anger through manifestation. This is considered demonic activity, which to a certain extent is true because those are angry, destructive emotions. Thus, instead of tracing the root cause of the demon which could have been toxic, unwholesome relationships of all kinds, we are all conditioned to fear evil spirits that are freely roaming about everywhere. Has anyone ever wondered why the majority of people at any deliverance ministry are women? Women who are in different forms of relationships? I’m not saying all women found at deliverance ministries are there due to bad relationships or need deliverance, but it is worth noting that the majority are. There’s always something to pick about their relationships, from truant, cheating husbands to barrenness or lack of a stable relationship or failed marriages or seeking marriage etc. Why is it now so difficult to get married when our ancestors used to get hitched before they even developed all the body tools? Spending time seeking deliverance distracts women from addressing the root cause of their unhappiness. Instead of finding deliverance within themselves and being empowered to make choices, they give that power to someone else and therefore get stuck in unhappy relationships while waiting to be delivered. Is this controversial? What do you think? Next we will discuss knowledge…
