My husband and I visited our 25-year old daughter who is newly settled in this peaceful, refreshing, laid back country. So you can begin to guess what lay in stock for us as we landed at Schiphol airport, Amsterdam. A rollercoaster rides…kkkkkk. With my young daughter’s energy and enthusiasm, we had a full tour program from day one, visiting all the noteworthy attractions around the country and neighboring states;such as the Euro mast of Rotterdam and the Atomium of Brussels. Before this trip I had not walked the way I did, let alone climb up and down elevators and stairs, hoping from bus to train to tram all in a single day. Alternatively, we endured the long drives on the highway between major cities or going across the border to the neighboring Germany and Belgium. The best thing I ever experienced was crossing the border without going through security or customs checks. This is the beauty of being in the EU! This is me on the tram in Rotterdam and another picture of the Atomium, a great architectural landmark in Brussels, Belgium.
